I like this! You have a very solid style. the roughness of the lines have character, though maybe slight refinement could boost it, such as the black scribbling being a little distracting to the eye--the black back of the tombstone seems like more of a focal point than Nancy and her book, which I honestly didn't notice at first glance.
You might also want to try out using text input rather than handwriting to help with legibility and alignment.

Altogether, this seems to have a lot of potential, and I'll be happy to see where it--and your abilities--can go!
